I have been going to Nono’s Gym for over a decade as it’s just around the corner from where I live when on the island.  I Personal trained and transformed countless clients in Gym 2000 over many years and love training here myself as it’s a real Spit and Sawdust gym which means plenty of free weights and if you have a body part you want to smash, you will find at least 3 machines to hit 1 specific muscle

If you visit this Gym you will have the chance to meet Mr Universe (the inspiring Nono) for yourself as he is there everyday without fail, either training himself, monitoring or motivating!

What’s also wonderful about this Gem of a Gym is there are 3 Generations of family working there so it’s a place you walk into and soon enough they will all know your name.

Full changing rooms with lockers & showers provided, Aerobic studio, Martial arts Dojo, separate Abs & Mat room, Massage service, Chill out area, Towels, Water, Supplements & Post Protein shakes all on offer at Gym 2000.

The only downside is the Cardio machines are quite dated which by the way is the norm in hardcore gyms, which I will take over any fancy Spa/Designer/Gym full of TechnoGym Machines, which are great to look at but….that’s it- the range of motion is SO limiting, which to me is SO frustrating, Give me a hardcore gym as I want hardcore results and as long as there is a treadmill that I can walk on a incline or even go to my bag and grab the jump rope then I’m ready to train hard! and anyway as the weather in the Canaries is usually fabulous and is the perfect excuse for me to take it outside and run back home with my bag on my back if need be.

Im just about to jump in the shower, getting ready for the Ng family feast! I burned 726kcals earlier in preparation as my little Aunties give me some stiff competition in the Buffet Relay Race! (I have counted 1 Aunty getting up 14 times-Seriously!

Sorry I haven’t been posting the last few weeks as I literally haven’t a minute to do so, traveling from Singapore to Phuket, Bali and Malaysia so far, on a amazing experience of training and traveling, working towards my next qualifications and passion to be a Raw Combat International Instructor.

I am so extremely lucky to be gaining my certification, Training 1 on 1 off the founder of Raw Mr Luke Holloway. I will be posting on him over the next few days and the Australian Fighting Method he designed.

As I’m moving constantly, sleeping little and training hard, I’m trying to keep my energy levels up I try to eat clean-ish(some times a street hawker stall outside the gym is the only choice when on a break from 11 hours constant training) But of course I have packed my Protein, Glutamine for recovery, Fish oils from the constant stress, Pre energy drinks to keep going,

But my favourite …. the constant supply of fresh COCONUT WATER wish has been a life saver. I was super excited when I found Air Asia,who I have been flying with every 3-4 days now have them on their flights too! HAPPY DAYZ

Located 2 mins from the Beach, in the video I just back from my 1st Surf lesson where I nailed it YEAY, but haven’t since ;( But only tried once and months later so as God loves a tryer, I’ll be BACK!

Nice villa to look at but stressful after just a few nights, the thatched roofed was a home to a big black rat!!! Who shared the villa with us and the Open air  Bathroom and outside kitchen made me a mosquito treat as there was lots of stagnant ponds in the gardens.

Now when we return to Bali we look for basic accommodation but CLOSED! and as long as we have wifi….Happy Days x
