The Chia Seed is Gluten Free, Sugar Free, Trans-Fat Free.

This Complete Nature’s Seed maybe double the price of the popular Flaxseed but it’s truly a Superfood and worth adding to your shopping list and health.  I picked up the packet on the [left] in Zula cafe Seminyak, Bali at 250.000 IDR, [Centre] in Singapore for $20 SGD and the [Right] Mini Shots from Australia approx. $16 SGD but most natural health stores including Holland & Barrett will stock similar brands.

The Superior Biological Properties of Chia Seeds are-Omega 3s, Fibre, Protein, Antioxidants, multiple Vitamins & Minerals.

I Sprinkle my Chia Seeds daily ;) in my Oats, Protein Smoothies, over my Salads and what I like about this nutty tasting seed is I can bake with it adding it to my lean baked Chicken Meatballs or Protein Brownies and the biological properties doesn’t diminish in the heating process.

Lyte Recipe-My Super Healthy Aioli

Aioli

This Aioli healthy dressing was a amazing hit with the regulars at my diet cafe Lyte, Tenerife served with the Salads and Wraps.

I was constantly asked for the recipe as the garlic is not overpowering nor did it leave a nasty oily after taste like the regular mayonnaise based Aioli’s, but how I made a sinful calorific trans fatty dressing into a HIGH PROTEIN WITH HEALTHY FATS was kept as 1 of my secret recipes.   Until Now!

0% Total Greek Yogurt (this has a higher Protein content than most)/ If in Spain Mercadonas Queso Fresco 0% is the same!

2 tbs Virgin Coconut Oil

1 Clove Garlic

1 tsp Grated Lemon Zest/ 2tsp Lemon Juice

Optional-Fresh Parsley/ Black Pepper/ Sea Salt

Blend & keep in airtight container in the fridge to keep up to 3 days-Easy & Amazing ;)

Athletes Breakfast-Oats with Egg Whites

Oats & Egg Whites

1; 1-1.5 scoop of whole rolled Oats, Add hot boiled water from kettle wait 5 mins for it to swell. 2; Add 2 egg whites

 

Oats & Egg Whites 3,4

3; Whisk until frothy

 

Oats & Egg Whites 5,6

4, Micro for 40-60 secs, whisk then repeat both steps again until the Egg whites are no longer clear. 5; Add cold Milk my faves are Almond or Lactose free skimmed (Optional adds; Almonds, chia or linseeds )

 

Oats & Egg Whites 7

6; I now Add Protein Powder & prefer it cold like Muesli (But I choose to live in hot countries so each to their own, Enjoy x)
